Lumascape
Lumascape Lighting Industries is Australia's leading manufacturer of high performance and high quality exterior architectural, landscape and underwater lighting products.
Their product range is extensive with each having multiple configurable components. Lumascape recognised that even though their main customers were lighting professionals, specifying a valid set of of options on a product was no easy task.
I created a prototype of a configurator in jQuery using one of their most complex products. Having proved the approach I then created a production version with integration to a database back end. To complete the project similar interfaces where build for the administration of products by the client.
The configurator allows the user to easily specify and price a product configuration safe in the knowledge that all dependancies and exclusions will be taken care of. Finished configurations can be saved by the client.
